The Mabalacat City Social Welfare Office has alloted P1.5M to the various indigent sectors in the city during the flag raising rites on Monday. City Social Welfare and Development Officer Josephine Tanglao said P250,000 was allotted to the auxiliary services of the persons with disabilities (PWDs) and another P250,000 to the Mabalacat senior citizens. The remaining amount will be used as contingency fund for the use of indigents who need government assistance. The amount came from the national government and part of the ‘Bottom-Up Budgeting Project’ that provides assistance to indigent families. With Tanglao are City Administrator Bernard delos Reyes, Mutya ning Kapampangan 2016 1st runner-up Angela dela Raya Aninang and City Councilors Ruvielane Margarito (Indigenous People Representative) and Roland ‘Rox’ Peña.
