TARLAC CITY — The 23rd Malasakit Center in the country opened Wednesday at the Tarlac Provincial Hospital.
Governor Susan Yap said the facility, the 9th in Central Luzon, is a one-stop shop for all medical and financial services that aims to help the poor save time, money and effort through a streamline process.
“The Malasakit Center will now be available at the Tarlac Provincial Hospital. All government agencies which offer financial and health services related to hospitalization such as Department of Health, PhilHealth, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation will now be under one roof so that our dear patients will no longer spend time, money and effort going to different agencies to avail their services,” she explained.
Yap furthered that the center, now ready to serve the poor and underprivileged Tarlaqueños, prioritizes senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
“Through the efforts of President Rodrigo R. Duterte, the Malasakit Center has finally set foot in our province. Tarlaqueños will get to enjoy free medical services,” Yap stressed.
This is in line with the provincial government’s total human capital development advocacy which focuses on quality education, jobs, food, environment and health. (PIA 3)
