Mayor Gila leads KADIWA relaunch in CL

BALANGA CITY – Intensifying the realization of the Department of Agriculture’s battlecry of bountiful harvest and prosperous farmers and fisherfolk, the “Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita” was relaunched in a regional scale today in Central Luzon led by Mayor Maria Angela “Gila” Garcia at the first-class Municipality of Dinalupihan, Province of Bataan.

Kadiwa is a market system which sells major agricultural goods at reasonably low prices to help poor Filipino households.

Kadiwa is loosely translated as “one idea, one thought” which is in consonance with the Secretary Willian Dar’s “New Thinking” for Agriculture paradigm.

The “Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita” is a collaborative project of the Department of Agriculture, Department of Interior and Local Government, and Food Terminal Inc. (FTI), a Government-Owned and Controlled Corporation (GOCC) was formally launched last September 2019 in Taguig City.

This project will establish a direct link between the farmers/fisherfolk and the consuming public.

“Through Kadiwa – now anchored to ‘Ani at Kita’ – we can be sure that farmers get the best prices for their goods, while providing affordable, safe, and nutritious food to the consumers.

DA Undersecretary Dr. Ernesto Gonzales served as the guest of honor.

Mayor Garcia was joined by other local officials, farmers groups along with the 50 participants in the agricultural fair.

Gonzales commended the local government unit of Dinalupihan headed by Mayor Garcia for the strong support for the project.
