Mayor Inton inaugurates Mabiga multi purpose covered court


HERMOSA, Bataan – Mayor Antonio Joseph “Jopet” R. Inton on Wednesday led the inauguration of a covered court in Barangay Mabiga here.

The project worth more than P6 million was funded by Senator JV Ejercito. The senator was represented by his chief of staff, retired Gen. Rodrigo de Garcia (PMA Class 82) during the formal rites.

Village chiefs and councilors from different barangays, municipal councilors and other visitors and residents including Aeta families witnessed the event.

“Malaking bagay po na magkaroon kami ng ganitong covered court lalo na pag may bagyo mas malaki po itong lugar na ito na mapaglagyan ng mga evacuees at ibat ibang events namin pwede na po namin ganapin dito, salamat po kay Mayor Jopet at kay Senator JV,” a resident told this reporter.

In a brief interview with newsmen, Mayor Jopet, as he is fondly called by friends and supporters said that covered courts in all barangays, improved roads, multi-purpose buildings and efficient flood control systems are some of his major priorities in his first term as mayor.

Inton also acknowledged various help and assistance he gets from his friends outside this province.

He also revealed that his administration has intensified infrastructure activities within the municipality.

Recently, utilizing the financial assistance from various senators; covered courts, road projects and multi-purpose buildings were also built in other barangays such as Bamban, Mambog, Almacen, Maite, Mandama, Cataning, Tipo and Bacong.

“Bago pa man po tayo maupo bilang mayor ay nakapagdala na po tayo ng pondo rito mula sa mga kaibigan nating senador,” Inton quips.
