The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) said it will put in place a second mobile sub-station in Mabalacat with a capacity of 20 megavolt amperes (MVA) in a bid to augment the existing power supply in Mabalacat City. Meralco, which co-manages the Pampanga Electic Cooperative 2 (PELCO II), has already fielded the first mobile sub-station in Mabalacat City last year. Meralco now powers at least 30 to 40 percent of Mabalacat City, which is home to the Clark International Airport.
