Modules, TV production readied for learning program in Pampanga

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda vowed to provide modules and production of educational materials for television intended for the implementation of the blended learning program of the Department of Education (DepEd).

In particular, the Pampanga government is set to give 74 units of risograph machine to various cities and municipalities in the province, and will shoulder the expenses for the block time program in a local TV station plus the cost of production.

This was gleaned during a meeting attended by Governor Delta, local chief executives, and officials of DepEd-III at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center here.

After several meetings, the provincial government, Pampanga Mayor’s League (PML), and DepEd have finally come out with the final plans for the implementation of the said program.

It was agreed upon during the meeting that the province will use modular and television approach once the school year opens on August 24.

Meanwhile, Zenia Mostoles, DepEd provincial director, commended the provincial government for its initiative to still provide high quality education to students amid the prevalence of COVID-19.

She also urged the parents to enrol their children before the registration ends on July 15.

The Blended Learning is a program proposed by the DepEd in response to the COVID-19 pandemic that caused interruption to the education of students. (PR)
