MONCADA, Tarlac — Municipality of Moncada will virtually celebrate its 145th Founding Anniversary on July 1, Wednesday, via Facebook live broadcast.
This is to ensure the safety of the residents from the COVID-19 and in compliance with the social distancing rule and prohibition of mass/public gatherings.
“The idea for a virtual celebration was conceived by the Moncada Information Office team. Since social and mass gatherings are still prohibited, the team instead proposed to have the celebration done through a Facebook live broadcast via Moncada Information Office and other Facebook pages,” Moncada Sangguniang Bayan Secretary and Acting Public Information Officer Andi Molina said.
Among the highlights of the virtual anniversary celebration include Moncada Mayor Estelita Aquino’s State of Municipality Address on the accomplishments of the local government and its response operations on COVID-19.
“The activity will start with a Holy Mass scheduled at 9:00AM, to be followed by the programme proper. An Online Palaro, exclusive for Moncadenians, featuring Moncada’s history will be the afternoon’s event,” Molina cited.
Moreover, Moncada’s greatest talents and traditional dance—La Jota Moncadenia— will be showcased.
This year’s celebration carries the theme, “We Heal As One Moncadenian.”
By virtue of Proclamation No. 968, July 1 was declared as a Special Non-Working Day in Moncada in line with its founding anniversary.
