CAMILING, Tarlac — Approximately 150 students of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) participated in a Youth Forum organized by National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA) and Philippine Information Agency (PIA).
“This activity is an island-wide campaign of NCCA and PIA which aims to help in preserving and enriching the culture and traditions of the province of Tarlac and at the same time to promote various programs of NCCA,” PIA Assistant Regional Director Carlo Lorenzo Datu said.
“In Central Luzon, we are conducting these forums in various schools to encourage and inspire the youth in promoting the artistry and cultural identity of their provinces,” Datu added.
The forum featured discussions on Local history and culture of Tarlac, Tourist Destination and Tour Packages in the Province.
It also featured an exhibit showcasing and promoting Cultural Heritage of Ilocos, Cagayan, Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, Bicol and Cordillera Regions.
In behalf of the TAU community, Office of Student Development Services Director Danilo Oficiar expressed his gratitude to NCCA, PIA and Provincial government of Tarlac for taking time to instill the local history and culture of the province to the students. (PIA 3)
