NOLCOM brings stranded students home

CAMP AQUINO, Tarlac — The troopers of the Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) responded to the call for help of the stranded students of Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in Manila.

Four PUP students and one other (sibling of one of the students), who are all from Pampanga, were stranded due to the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in Luzon. 

“The passengers were aboard one KM-450 truck we provided and were safely brought to their hometown in Pampanga,” NOLCOM Commander LtGen. Ramiro Manuel Rey said.

“With the declaration of the extension of ECQ until April 30, NOLCOM is always ready to heed the calls for help of the people amidst the disturbance caused by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic,” Rey added.

He commended the efforts of the responding troopers and continues to remind the public to adhere to guidelines set by the government to Stay Home to Save Lives to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
