Notorious robber arrested in Baguio City

MEXICO, Pampanga – The Philippine National Police (PNP) here arrested a notorious robber in the summer capital of Baguio City on Wednesday.

PSSupt. Joel Rentoy Consulta of the Pamnpanga PPO identified the arrested individual as Reden Sicat, 34, of Barangay Pandacaqui, Mexico, Pampanga.

Sicat, who has a warrant for his arrest, was arrested at Lower Brookside, Baguio City after a manhunt that took the Mexico-based PNP officers all the way to Baguio City.

The team who arrested Sicat was led by PSupt. Wildredo Paulo of the Mexico Municipal Police Station.

Sicat’s warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Edgar Y. Chua, of RTC Branch 47, City of San Fernando, Pampanga and docketed under criminal case number 21795 for robbery. Bail is set at P100,000.

A 2nd warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Mary Anne P. Padron-Rivera, of RTC Branch 46, City of San Fernando, Pampanga and docketed under criminal case number 20291 for robbery. Bail is set at 30,000.00.

A 3rd warrant of arrest was issued Judge Mary Jane B Dacara-Buenaventure , of RTC Branch 43, City of San Fernando, Pampanga and docketed under criminal case number 20271 for robbery. Bail is set at P100,000.

Sicat was allegedly responsible in the series of robbery hold-up in the town of Mexico and the shooting incident in Arayat, Pampanga. He was also included in the drug list of the PNP and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Consulta presented Sicat to members of the media at Bale Katimawa on Thursday. He commended members of the Mexico PNP in the arrest of Sicat. –PCRB PAMPANGA Facebook Page
