P300,000 worth of shabu seized in Bulacan; 4 pushers arrested

Methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, worth P300,000 was confiscated by elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during a buy-bust operation in Bulacan.

PDEA Director General Aaron N Aquino said that the illegal drug was seized from suspects identified as Erwin Bajaro, 53 years old; Alvin Caldozo, 42; Angelica Borina, 26; and Victoria Jimeno, 30, all residents of Barangay Sampaloc, San Rafael, Bulacan.

A drug transaction was hatched between Bajaro’s group and a PDEA undercover agent posing as a buyer, who agreed to meet in the suspect’s neighborhood in Barangay Sampaloc on October 31, 2017 at around 1:40 in the afternoon.

Upon a pre-arranged signal, combined elements of PDEA Regional Office III (PDEA ROIII) under Director Joseph Ladip immediately pounced on the suspects after they handed over four plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 50 grams worth P300,000 to the poseur-buyer.

When frisked, the suspects yielded assorted drug paraphernalia. Also seized from them was one black Honda Civic.

Bajaro, Caldozo, Borina and Jimeno will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), in relation to Section 26 (Conspiracy to Sell) and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. They are currently detained at PDEA RO3 jail facility in Diosdado Macapagal Government Center, Barangay Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
