P30M earmarked for repair of drainage in Barangay Balibago

Barangay Balibago village chief Joseph Ponce said Congressman Jon Lazatin II (1st Dist-Pampanga) will earmark some P30 million for the repair of drainage system in the central business district of Balibago.

Ponce said Barangay Balibago will also soon have its covered court where residents can conduct various activities particularly sports program for the youth.

Ponce has delivered his first State of the Barangay Address (SOBA) on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at the Balibago Barangay Hall which according to him will also undergo major facelift to keep up with the modern times and allow residents to avail of government services in comfort. “We will further improve delivery of public service to Balibago residents,” said Ponce, who once served as councilor of Angeles City.

For his part, Rep. Lazatin urged Ponce to provide his “wish list” for the further development of Barangay Balibago, which is the Central Business District of Angeles City.

Lazatin said he will do his best to further bring in development in the Balibago business district.

Barangay Balibago has seen significant development in terms of infrastructure, with ongoing projects aimed at improving roads, drainage systems, and public facilities to accommodate the growing population and business activities. These developments are supported by Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. and Rep. Lazatin.

The barangay is one of the bustling barangays of Angeles City, and is famous for its restaurants, entertainment establishments, including bars, clubs, and hotels. The area caters to both local residents and tourists, contributing significantly to the city’s tourism and entertainment industry.

Meanwhile, former Angeles City Mayor and Clark Development Corporation Chairman Ed Pamintuan has encouraged local leaders to “forget politics” and work for the progress of Angeles City.

Angeles City Vice Mayor Vicky Vega has also lauded Ponce and Barangay Balibago leaders for their steadfast leadership which will further bring in progress in the business district.
