Members of the Pampanga 1st Police Mobile Force Company (PMFC), led by Lieutenant Colonel Michael ‘Mike’ Masangkay, extended their helping hand to Mawacat Elementary School in Floridablanca town, thru a newly-constructed covered court project.
Masangkay, with the all-out-support of Pampanga Police Office Director Colonel Jean Fajardo and other police officers personally led the turn-over and inauguration ceremony of the said facility on November 26.
According to Masangkay, this is to help in uplifting the educational welfare of students here, especially to those who live in remote areas.
“This is to boost the skill levels of children here. Lack of facility like this [covered court], may cause health problems such as increased obesity rate, as well as boredom and lowered levels of well-being,” he said.
This is also in line with the celebration of National Children’s Month, he said.
“Since November is known as the Children’s Month, we enjoin to take part in the said celebration, through a project like this [covered court],” he added.
For Masangkay, a covered court encourages individuals to do a variety of physical activities and amenities for enhancing learning in all aspects.
“This is one way to connect with the community. I remember this one line from John Bunyan, he said: ‘You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you’,” he added.
Meanwhile, he also shared that the 1st PMFC will give its full effort in maintaining the peace and order in the province, which is also the topmost priority of Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda.“Our commitment is to keep up our guard to enforce our programs in reducing the crime rate in the province,” he furthered.
Masangkay also mentioned that they will continue to intensify their efforts to help more communities.
