CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Provincial Government is currently distributing fortified powdered milk to various towns to help Kapampangans that are severely affected by the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
Facilitated by the Provincial Nutrition Committee, it aims to provide 1.2 kilograms of fortified powdered milk to underweight children aged two years old to pre-school.
“We will continue to provide aid to the vulnerable sectors such as the children. This simple assistance is not only meant to suppress hunger but also to strengthen their immune system,” Governor Dennis Pineda said.
He also appealed to the people to cooperate with the measures being implemented to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“As much as possible, please stay home so that our COVID-19 cases in the province will no longer increase. Rest assured that we will do everything we can to provide aid,” he added.
The activity is under the Community-Based Milk Supplementation Program which was initiated by Pineda last year.
To date, there are already 534 pouches of 1.2 kilograms of fortified powdered milk distributed in the municipality of Mexico.
