Park Inn staff treats kids from Duyan ni Maria

The Park Inn by Radisson Clark (PIRC) team took a day off to treat abandoned children from the Duyan ni Maria orphanage.

Zenaida Alcantara, general manager of Park Inn Clark, led her team in improving the condition of the living and praying quarters of the kids from the shelter on September 27.

Michie Navales, food and beverage attendant at Park Inn Clark, said although the situation was a bit saddening, she was “happy” because the team was able to help the children by fixing their rooms.

“These children were left behind by their families. Thank you for making us all happy,” Sister Alessandra Casas, founder of Duyan ni Maria, said.

The team spent a whole day in re-painting the walls and ceilings of the 22-year old orphanage, which has around 50 children under its care.

The hotel’s housekeeping department also visited Duyan ni Maria on September 16 to polish and sanitize the kids’ prayer room, as a simple and helpful way to celebrate the International Housekeeping Week.

Meanwhile, Park Inn by Radisson Clark adds color to lives of those within its community through a series of responsible business activities, spearheaded by the human resources department.
