TEAM ABE KAPAMPANGAN. Partido Abe Kapampangan slate led by mayoralty bet Atty. Bryan Matthew Nepomuceno and vice mayoralty bet Edgardo Pamintuan Jr., lead their supporters in a march to the COMELEC office for the filing of their respective Certificates of Candidacy on Thursday. Locking arms with them to express full support is five-term Angeles City Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan.
In his speech, Mayor Pamintuan expressed his confidence on the party’s slate where he also reiterated his endorsement to Nepomuceno who is vying for the mayoralty seat.
Pamintuan, who is gunning for a party representative seat under the Abe Kapampangan Partylist, has been vocal about his plans to ‘graduate’ from local politics and entrust the city’s leadership to the younger breed of leaders and competent public servants who will embody the ideals and aspirations of the Angeleños.
For his part, Nepomuceno accepted Mayor Pamintuan’s challenge and vowed to continue the good change, to sustain and eventually, exceed the achievements that the city has gained under his administration should he win the mayoralty post in the May 2019 elections.
Nepomuceno, who is a three-term councilor and a lawyer by profession, also expressed his elation over Angeleños’ confidence that he can lead the city.
Leading AbeKa’s lineup of councilors include re-electionists Alfie Bonifacio, Danilo Lacson, Joseph “PG” Ponce, and Amos Rivera, actress JC Parker-Aguas, Raco Del Rosario, Mining Barangay Captain Chris Cortez, Tabun Barangay Captain Alma Mercado, CLAC President Thelma Indiongco, and broadcast journalist Jay Pelayo IV.
Also present to support the Bryan-Edu tandem is Partido AbeKa’s comebacking Congressional bet for the First District of Pampanga, Joseller “Yeng” Guiao.
To cap the program, the Nepomuceno-Pamintuan team together with their supporters from various sectors and barangays, expressed their solid backing as they read and signed a manifestoof support.
Meanwhile, Mayor Pamintuan also filed his CoC as first nominee of Abe Kapampangan Partylist at COMELEC Main Office in Manila. Joining him are second nominee Jericho Aguas, and Danilo De Austria Consumido as third nominee.
