Incessant rains spawned in recent days had scoured the foundation of the Pasig Potrero Bridge along the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) which prompted the Metro Pacific Tollways to temporarily closed the bridge and implemented a rerouting scheme effective 3pm of July 16, 2023.
Motorists enroute to Subic are advised to take the San Fernando Exit and Jose Abad Santos Avenue (JASA). Motorists coming from Subic are likewise advised to take the alternate routes leading to JASA — Dinalupihan Exit, Floridablanca Exit, and Porac Exit.
Quarry operators had been advised in the past to refrain from extracting quarry materials near the bridge to protect its structural integrity.
