MANILA – The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday reported 2,124 additional coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, raising the overall tally to 56,259.
In its case bulletin, the DOH said the total number of cases reported is based on the total tests done by 67 out of 82 operational labs as of Sunday, July 12.
There are 2,009 recoveries and 162 new deaths.
The total number of recoveries nationwide is 16,046, while the death toll stands at 1,534.
“Eighty-seven duplicates were removed from the total case count. The total cases reported may be subject to change as these numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation,” it said.The DOH noted that the total of active cases is 38,679 where 92.2 percent have mild symptoms, 0.4 percent are severe and 0.3 percent are critical.
