CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Region 3 will hold this week its sixth ASEAN Campus Forum in Ramon Magsaysay Technological University (RMTU).
“As part of hyping the Philippine Chairmanship of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) this 2017, PIA in Central Luzon will be holding campus forums in different provinces to educate and pitch support from the youth in this endeavor,” PIA Regional Director William Beltran said.
The forum shall feature discussions on the goals of the Philippine Chairmanship and the Political-Security, Economic, and Socio-Cultural Community Pillars of the regional bloc.
Representatives from National Economic and Development Authority shall likewise explain the salient points of AmBisyon Natin 2040.
“A Dance Contest will be held as an ancillary activity. The winners will be announced during the Campus Forum proper,” Beltran added.
Prior to RMTU, PIA conducted ASEAN Campus Forums in Tarlac State University, Central Luzon State University, Aurora State College of Technology, Tarlac Agricultural University, and Bataan Peninsula State University.
Other educational institutions it will visit this year include Pampanga State Agricultural University and Bulacan State University.
