Pineda urges Mabalacat village chiefs to ‘double efforts in peace and order’

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda urged the Mabalacat City village chiefs to double their efforts in fighting criminality, illegal drugs, and terrorism.

Pineda said efforts in keeping their respective barangays safe will help the province’ preparation for the ASEAN Summit which will be held at Clark Freeport Zone this coming November.

“I expect you to deliver, because everything starts at the barangay level. You should know every individual coming in and out of your territories,” she said.

Pineda also pointed out the village chiefs must not be idle in pointing out drug suspects in their villages.

“The police will tag you as protectors if you won’t report these suspects. Please be our intels. Cooperate with the police, with PD (Consulta),” she added.

Consulta asked the village chiefs not to be reluctant or never hesitate to report every single drug pusher in their barangays. He also vowed to keep them safe from threats from these elements.

“I assure you of your safety and will keep your identities secret from users,” he said.

Mabalacat City has 27 barangays and is home of the majority of Clark Freeport Zone and other businesses in Pampanga.
