BALANGA CITY – Pilar Municipal Mayor Charlie Pizarro led the launching of Disiplina Muna Advocacy Campaign in Pilar, Bataan.
Disiplina Muna or “Discipline First” is a multi-sectoral campaign launched by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) that aims to instill a culture of discipline among Filipinos for nation-building and to achieve genuine change in the country.
Mayor Pizarro said this advocacy will help intensify their campaign for anti-smoking, disaster preparedness and resilience, road clearing, ease of doing business, tourist spots cleanup and anti-illegal drugs efforts.
The said nationwide advocacy campaign was launched by the DILG last November 2019 in the City of Manila with Mayor Isko “Yorme” Moreno as one of its ambassadors.
“Discipline cannot happen with just the government pushing. It has to be pushed from all corners of Philippine society,” DILG Undersecretary Marivel Sacendoncillo said during the launching last year in Manila.
