PILAR, Bataan – Municipal Mayor Charlie Pizarro on Saturday morning
led the Hataw Bataan, Takbo Pilar 3 kilometer fun run from Pilar Town Plaza to Roman Highway and vice versa via the JG Linao Avenue.
Thousands of participants from different sectors joined the event. Mayor Pizarro was joined by Bataan Vice Governor Cris Garcia, Vice Mayor Mar Caguimbal and other local officials.
It was among the various conceived programs under the Office of Congressman Jose Enrique “Joet” Garcia III of the 2nd District of Bataan that is aimed to strengthen the province’s Tobacco-Free Generation (TFG) campaign.
Celebrity guests added excitement to the participants namely Jopay Paguia of the once-famous Sex Bomb Dancers, Saicy Aguila of ABSCBN’s Pinoy Big Brothers and Eat Bulaga’s choreographer and stage director, EB Babe Hopia.
This advocacy run is aimed to institutionalize learning and healthy and family-oriented lifestyle throughout the municipality as well as to educate and to encourage youths in schools and in the community to be part of Tobacco-Free Generation.
