Philippine National Police Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde with Central Luzon and Bulacan Police personnel led the distribution of relief goods to 800 flood victims in the municipalities of Calumpit and Malolos on Wednesday afternoon.
The PNP chief together with PRO3 regional director Chief Supt. Amador Corpus and Bulacan PPO acting director Sr. Supt. Chito Bersaluna personally distributed relief goods to almost 800 flood-stricken families who were victims of 3-day non-stop rain fall where 80 barangays in Bulacan were affected by floods and high tide.
More or less 1,000 bags of relief goods containing sacks of rice, canned goods, noodles and bottled waters packed by PNP-NHQ and PRO3 personnel were received by the affected families.
Albayalde said that aside from Calumpit and Malolos, relief operations will also be conducted in other provinces of Central Luzon including Bataan and Pampanga.
Meanwhile, Corpus said that “the distribution of relief goods is not just our initiative but has been part and parcel of our disaster operations aside from our search and rescue tasks.”
