PNP to deploy 9,000 cops for May polls in CL

It’s all systems go for the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) in Pampanga with the deployment of over 9,000 personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in the region for the May 9 polls.

PRO3 Director PBGen. Matthew P. Baccay led on Wednesday the send-off ceremony for police personnel to be fielded on election day at the Parade Ground of PRO3 at Camp Olivas in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

Baccay said that to increase the number of police personnel tasked to ensure a safe and secure elections on Monday, those assigned to do desk work will also be sent out to polling precincts.

Members of the PNP, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Fire Protection, force multipliers, media and other guests graced the send-off ceremony that was followed by the turn-over of forces and resources.

Meanwhile, the blessing of the Regional Election Monitoring Action Center (REMAC) was also held after the send-off ceremony. The REMAC serves as a repository of information of all election related activities for timely and accurate reporting.
