TARLAC CITY (PIA) — The police apprehended a total of 2,602 violators of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in the province of Tarlac.
“We ask every Tarlaqueño, may we not let the number of people affected and dying of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) increase because of lack of discipline and disobeying guidelines,” Police Provincial Director Police Colonel David Poklay said.
Top ECQ offenses in the province include curfew (1,046 violators), non-wearing of face masks (638 violators) and Unauthorized Persons Outside Residence (468 violations).
Poklay said majority of the violators were given warning for their offenses and asked to strictly comply with the regulations implemented to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
“We continually warn violators and remind everyone to follow and work together as we beat this crisis we’re currently faced with,” the official furthered.
