Protective covers in San Clemente establishments now mandatory

SAN CLEMENTE, Tarlac — Municipal Government of San Clemente has issued a directive mandating business establishments to install protective covers.


Executive Order No. 29, series of 2020 directs proprietors whose businesses are allowed to operate under Modified General Community Quarantine to install protective hygienic barriers in their establishments in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.


“There is a need to install protective hygienic barriers in those business establishments to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus in the community, and to maintain the recommended distance between customers and employees,” Mayor Elma Macadamia said. 


Establishments required to install protective hygienic barriers include hardware stores, sari-sari stores, school supplies stores, groceries, pharmacies and bakeries.

To date, San Clemente has one confirmed COVID-19 case from barangay Catagudingan who passed away on July 11. 

That village was placed under localized Enhanced Community Quarantine from 12:00NN of July 13 until 12:00NN of July 26.
