SUBIC BAY FREEPORT–The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) holds its first Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Information and Education Campaign (IEC) Regional Roadshow on November 16 at the Travellers’ Hotel and Event Center in Subic Bay Freeport zone.
Hosted by PSA Zambales headed by Chief Statistical Specialist Norman Bundalian, the event was attended by officials from the PhilSys Registry Office (PRO), Regional Statistical Services Office III, and Provincial Statistical Offices (PSO) in Central Luzon.
Representatives from different regional government agencies and government owned and controlled corporations including the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, members of the academe and delegates from the various private institutions and Subic Bay Freeport locators attended the said event.
The program was opened with a welcome message from Civil Registration and Administrative Support Division (CRASD) Chief Elma Ruth Casasola and followed by an inspirational message from Assistant National Statistician Emily R. Pagador of the PSA Use Case Development and Management Service.
Among the topics discussed are the features of Republic Act 11055 or the PhilSys Act, and the ePhilID as facilitated by OIC Division Chief Marcus Ryan P. Laurente of the Government Sector Use Care Division.
Project Development Officer Christine B. Camata of the Social Protection Use Cases Division tackles the Regulatory Onboarding Process and Requirements. She explained all the necessary guidelines to allow government agencies on how to utilize the PhilSys API-enabled Services including the levels of access, the initial list of requirements for onboarding, and the criteria for application and processes.
In closing, Supervising Statistical Specialist Bernadette Joy D. Ular of PSA Tarlac, encourage the cooperation among delegates and participants in the said event and expressed her high hopes of a successful collaboration with stakeholders.
