CAMP OLIVAS – The Central Luzon police force is now on full alert shortly after President Rodrigo Duterte declared Martial Law in the entire Mindanao islands.
Central Luzon police director Chief Supt. Aaron Aquino ordered a full alert status on Wednesday to thwart any action that may be launched by terror groups.
According to Aquino, the full alert status was raised on May 24, 2017, and has directed all unit commanders within Region 3 to strengthen security on all vital installations, economic key points as well as places of convergences and ensure high state of operational readiness to thwart any hostile action that may be launched by terror groups.
Aquino also cancelled all leaves and passes of PNP personnel.
He also appealed to the public to refrain from posting on social media that would tend to aggravate the situation in Mindanao.
“I also appeal to our public to refrain from posting on social media information that would tend to exacerbate the situation especially photos and videos on the movements of the government troops and on terrorist propaganda circulating through social media,” Aquino ended.
