HERMOSA, Bataan – Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman on Thursday led the formal opening and blessing of a two-storey multi-purpose hall in Barangay Palihan of this town.
Roman was joined by Palihan village officials headed by Punong Barangay Ricardo P. Dela Cruz, barangay health workers and watchmen, officials and personnel from Hermosa PNP headed by its chief of police, Police Chief Inspector Joey Sampaga, Bureau of Fire Protection and the Provincial Public Safety Office (PPSC).
Barangay Palihan is the host village of Hermosa’s numerous economic activities such as the New Hermosa Public Market, the Hermosa Ecozone Industrial Park and recently, the 10th branch of Jollibee store in this province started its operations.
Under the leadership of 1st termer-Mayor Antonio Joseph “Jopet” R. Inton, this first-class town continues to attract more investors.
Last month, GE Power announced recently its partnership with the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) for the new 500kV transmission line project and substation located in Hermosa, Bataan.
The project is crucial in accommodating generation capacity additions in the Bataan and Zambales areas. The new Hermosa substation will serve as a merging point of power, with an aggregate dependable capacity of about 4,000 MW.
