CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The local government intensified its ongoing cleanup operations during the final week of July, targeting major waterways and drainage systems across several barangays.

Personnel from the City Engineer’s Office conducted canal cleanups along MacArthur Highway (San Isidro, Maimpis, Del Rosario, and Lazatin Boulevard), Jose Abad Santos Avenue, as well as creek clearing in Mapalad and St. Francis Village.

Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag has ordered year-round cleanup operations as part of a directive to mitigate flooding and improve water flow in the city’s drainage systems. The City Environment and Natural Resources Office continues to reinforce proper waste disposal campaigns to complement these efforts and ensure environmental sustainability.
