San Juan HS tops DTI Pampanga poster-making tilt for second consecutive year

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — San Juan High School placed first for the second consecutive year in the Consumer Welfare Month Provincial On-the-Spot Poster Making contest of Department of Trade and Industry.

Grade 10 student Mark Jerome Vidal bested six other junior high school students, taking home a certificate of recognition and Php3,500 worth of gift certificates.

“I presented in my poster the relationship between consumer rights and the digital age, especially now that people are able to buy various products through the use of social media, and other online sites and applications,” Vidal explained.

He will be representing Pampanga in the Regional contest where San Juan High School is also the defending winner.

“I am happy because we won last year, and we were also hailed the champion in the regional contest. Now, for the second time around, we won first place. I’m happy for Mark because despite being a newbie in the contest, he still won for our school. I’m proud of him and of our school because we will be representing Pampanga again for the competition in Central Luzon,” coach Allwena Moran-Mayati shared.

Cathlene Nunag from the Information and Communication Technology High School placed second and got Php2,500 worth of gift certificates while Angelica Silva of San Matias National High School ended third and took home Php1,500 worth of gift certificates.
