The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines recognized Security Bank Foundation’s flagship education program, Build A School, Build A Nation: The Classrooms Project, with an Award of Excellence under the Communication Management: Corporate Social Responsibility category. This award comes on the heels of previous Award of Merit citations for the past 3 consecutive years.
The program’s holistic approach to Security Bank’s education advocacy is highlighted by end to end initiatives – from the construction of classrooms benefitting the students and the communities to spearheading leadership development for school heads and facilitating technical training for teachers. It also includes school painting activities where employees volunteer their time in support of the beneficiaries.
Since 2011, Security Bank Foundation has already turned over 469 classrooms to 91 schools located in 49 cities and municipalities and provided conducive learning facilities to 98,000 Filipino students.
Security Bank Foundation Trustee Melissa Aquino represented Security Bank at the awarding ceremony on August 30.
