SF cops nab collector wanted for theft

A collector wanted for 140 counts of theft was nabbed by elements of the City of San Fernando Police Station on Wednesday at the vicintiy 501 Telebastagan, Mc Arthur Highway.

The accused, identified as Kevin Manarang y Villanueva, 26 years old, married, and a resident of No. 84, Gloria 1 St., Brgy. Sindalan, this City, was arrested on the strength of a Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Christine Marie C. Capule, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 48, this City for Qualified Theft under Criminal Case # 25247 to 25387.

Manarang was employed early 2017 as collector-delivery man of Silk-Pro Marketing Corporation, a company based in Bgy Sindalan, this City and engaged in the selling of beauty soaps.

However, instead of remitting the money collected from clients to the company, he (accused) allegedly used it for personal gain, particularly gambled the same in cockfighting.

And in the course of time, he (accused) accumulated an unremitted amount of more than half a million pesos resulting to this case.

Bail is set at P24,000 each case.
