SM Bulacan malls to screen Filipino films for ‘Buwan ng Wika’

SM Bulacan Malls in Marilao, San Jose Del Monte and Baliwag will bring a diverse array of compelling Filipino stories on screen with the celebration of “Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino”.

In partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), SM Cinemas in Marilao, San Jose Del Monte and Baliwag will exclusively screen Filipino films from August 16 to 22.

“Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino is a great medium in celebrating the unique perspective of our culture while supporting our Philippine Cinema” shares SM City Marilao Assistant Mall Manager Drev Fiesta.

Students from various schools and universities are encourage to watch as SM Cinema will be offering student rates for as low as P100 during the duration of the festival. In addition to the student rates, SM Cinema will likewise offer a 4+1 promo; buy four tickets and get one for free. Cinema Patrons may also purchase a limited edition of PPP branded ePlus card for P990 which patrons may use to watch six (6) different PPP films.

Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino is a celebration of Filipino films in line with the ‘Buwan ng Wika’. Film Development Council of the Philippines’ partnership with SM Lifestyle Entertainment Inc. aims to bring different kind of genre films that are fresh, engaging and uniquely Filipino. It also aims to encourage wider appreciation on Philippine Cinema.

Films that will be part of the week-long festival are AWOL, Salvage, Hamog, Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B, Bar Boys, Birdshot, 100 Tula Para Kay Stella, and Star Na Si Van Damme Stallone.
