North Luzon features contemporary arts and Filipino ingenuity this Independence Day. SM City Olongapo’s ‘Flight of birds’ takes pride in the biodiversity and the richness in flora and fauna in Olongapo and its province Zambales. As seen in their natural habitat, these migratory birds or locally known as ‘Tagak’, Great White Egret or White Heron are depicted taking its flight in a flock. Making use of colored paper representing the colors of the Philippine flag, more than 300 folded paper birds were used to symbolize the province’s spirit of harmoniously working together for a common goal.
