SPAM to launch 1st VLOG Fest tilt

School Press Advisers Movement, Inc. (SPAM) will launch the first ever Vlog Fest Competition in the commencement of the 13th National Campus Media Conference on September 11-13, 2019.

Every year since 2007, SPAM has organized National Campus Media Conferences to highlight the role of campus media and to strengthen the institution’s creed of “Advocating Responsible Campus Journalism”. This year’s gathering of campus journalist and advisers from all over the Philippines particularly focuses on “Fostering an Upright Campus Journalism in the Era of Generation C”.

As budding journalists join the hype of media trends, SPAM’s Vlog Fest gears to showcase the unique cultures and identities of participating student publications, to promote inter-cultural exchange through vlogging, to set a competitive condition amongst the participating student publications since it is a pre-conference contest, to showcase the creativity and skills of students in multimedia arts and to inculcate among campus journalists the relevance of Social Media Influences in today’s Journalism.

The Conference venue is located at Punta Villa Resort, Inc., Sto. Niño Sur, Arevalo, Iloilo City.
