Sun Life Asia Service Centre-Philippines (ASCP), a company providing Business Processing, IT, and Investment Research shared services to Sun Life’s global businesses, officially announced Aldo Almera as its new Vice President and Site Head.
In his new role, Almera will be responsible for managing the entire Sun Life Asia Service Centre-Philippines organization providing high-quality delivery, solutions, and shared service support to its business partners here and abroad. He will lead the Sun Life ASCP Operations, Application Services, Enterprise Infrastructure and Enabling teams that will advance and strengthen the organization’s foundations and capabilities.
Almera is a Filipino national with 30 years of expertise in the IT industry working in financial services. He has rich leadership experience in general management with a specific focus on insurance operations and systems.
His last 24 years in the industry was spent in AIG in progressive leadership roles including assignments in Hong Kong and Singapore regional offices and most recently has held concurrent roles as General Manager for AIG Shared Services Philippines (Technology) and Manila Delivery Lead for General Insurance Team.

Almera is taking over from Gaurav Mishra who has served as Chief Operations Officer for ASC and Site Head for Sun Life ASCP and is moving to Sun Life Philippines as Chief Operations and Digital Enterprise Officer.
