Suspected drug pusher killed in Bataan encounter

LIMAY, Bataan – Combined forces of Limay PNP, Provincial Intelligence Branch and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG Bataan) conducted an anti-illegal drug operation, Friday morning.

Police Chief Inspector Rex Perucho, CIDG Bataan chief, said the operation resulted to the death of the suspect named Jerry Taneda, legal age and a native of Olongapo City.

Taneda, according to police records, was allegedly involved in series robbery and hold-up incidents, gun running and drug trade activities.

Police recovered 10 sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride commonly known as “shabu,” Caliber 45 pistol and its magazine, and the marked money used in the operation.

The suspect’s body as of press time is at the custody of a local funeral homes in this municipality.
