TARLAC CITY (PIA) — Governor Susan Yap said the province of Tarlac will soon have its own testing facility necessary for detecting coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“We are currently constructing a testing facility and we have already sent a letter to Department of Health (DOH) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding it,” Yap disclosed in a radio interview.
The testing facility is expected to be completed in two weeks and to be functional as soon as it passes the inspection of DOH and FDA.
To assure safety in the future testing facility, Yap said she is in close coordination with the medical technologists.
“COVID-19 is a dangerous disease that’s why I’m talking to our medtechs regarding the handling and positioning of machines in the space provided in which we can ensure faster yet safer way to test,” Yap furthered.
Finally, Yap assured the province has the equipment needed for the testing facility.
