Thai firm donates P1M to Samal

Udomsak Aksornphakdee, president of Charoen Pokphand Foods Philippines Corporation (CPF), on Tuesday led the formal turn-over of a check worth P1 million to Samal, Bataan Mayor Aida De Guia Macalinao. 

They were joined by Municipal Councilors: Ronnie Ortiguerra, Amy Dela Rosa, Glenn Velasco and Samal Municipal Health Office Chief, Dr. Cristina Santos-Espino. 

The donated amount, according to Mayor Macalinao will be used for efforts against the pandemic in Samal. 

“Isa sa malaking naibabahagi sa kaunlaran ng ating bayan ay tumugon sa aking kahilingan sa pag-aalay sa ating mga kababayan na nangangailangan ng tulong pinansiyal dulot ng pandemya,” Macalinao told her constituents via Facebook post.

CPF Phils. Corporation is company of the Charoen Pokphand Group, an agro-industrial and food conglomerate headquartered in Thailand. It is the world’s largest producer of feed and shrimp, and is also a global top three producer of poultry and pork.
