The Flyers ‘97 plants tamarind seedlings in AC watershed

Angeles City — Holy Angel University High School Batch 1997 “The Flyers” headed by President Reggie Dalina, Vice-President JP Manalang, Treasurer Sherwin Victoria, Auditor Ramon Quito and Secretary Agnes Mercado-Raguidin thru the Angeles City Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO-Angeles City) planted fruit-bearing trees at the Angeles City Watershed in Barangay Sapangbato on August 12, 2022.

50 tamarind seedlings donated by the Pampanga Agricultural State College were planted at the watershed. According to Batch ‘97 President Reggie Dalina, the reforestation will preserve the city’s watershed. The series of tree planting activities is part of their community outreach project.

“Bilib kami sa mga kapatid nating mga Aetas dito in the development of the society, particularly preserving the watershed,” Dalina added.

Apart from the tree planting, some Aeta forest caretakers are also to receive ₱3,000 cash aid and food packs.

The tree planting activity was made possible in partnership with RMN Cold Storage and Meat Shop, Sherland Realty, RTQ Certified Public Accounting Firm and Angeles City-LGU. –Photos by JP Manalang
