Three arrested for shabu; five others for curfew violations in AC

ANGELES CITY – The Angeles City Police Office arrested three individuals for illegal drugs and five others for violating the curfew hours during the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) to prevent the spread of the dreaded novel coronavirus or COVID-19.

In reports sent by Police Captain Agnes B. Nolasco of the ACPO, she identified the individuals as Dwyht Asuncion, 26-yr old, of Purok 4, Barangay Amsic; Paul Vincent Dela Cruz, 20-yr old, of Purok 5B, Barangay Amsic; William Benjamin Paulino, 41-yr old, of Blk 61 Lot 22, an Roque St., Fiesta Communities, Barangay Tabun; Adrean Valdez, 19 years old, of 6138 R.D Reyes, Lourdes North West, Angeles City; and Alfredo Guttierrez, 23 years old, of 12 Bernardo St., 7th St., Lakandula, Dau, Mabalacat City.

Meanwhile, three others were arrested for illegal drugs and violation of curfew hours. They were identified as Roderick Pija, 46 years old, of 3109 Vanderbilt Ext. Ninoy Aquino, Angeles City; Analinda Gonzales, 43 years old, married, housewife; and Francis Vargas, 39 years old, a former inmate at Angeles City District Jail, both residents of 429 5th Street, Marisol Subd. Ninoy Aquino, Angeles City.

The ACPO said the Patrulya ng Bayan Volunteers of Barangay Ninoy Aquino, was conducting mobilized patrol in Barangay Ninoy Aquino, during the implementation of curfew hours when the chance upon Pija who was roaming in the vicinity.

Pija was advised to go and stay at home, but was later spotted again along 5th St. Brgy Ninoy Aquino, in the act of receiving a plastic sachet from Gonzales and Vargas. Pija threw away the small plastic which allegedly contained shabu. Also recovered from them is one improvised ‘’glass tooter’ used for inhaling shabu and a black coin purse containing three small plastic sachet of shabu.

The three were having illegal drugs transaction and will now be charged for violating both RA 11332 and RA 9165. They were brought to Police Station 6 and charges will be filed against the suspects at the Angeles City Prosecutor’s Office.

The Patrulya ng Bayan volunteers of Barangay Amsic were conducting foot patrol when they chance upon Asuncion who was reportedly creating trouble. Asuncion violently resisted arrest and was taken to Police Station 2.

Dela Cruz reportedly challenged the barangay officials to a fist fight and kicked one barangay official before being subdued. Paulino was accosted in Brgy Pandan for driving a motorcycle without a helmet. Valdez and Gutierrez were arrested in Brgy Malabanias.

Asuncion will be charged for violating RA 11332, for resistance/disobedience and direct assault against persons in authority
