Tight security in Bataan prevents Holy Week-related incident

BALANGA CITY – Due to the tight security measures carried out by Bataan Police Provincial Office and all the other police offices under the Police Regional Office 3, no single Holy Week related incident was reported particularly from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday within the region.

PRO3 Regional Director, Police Chief Superintendent Amador V. Corpus reported that the “zero-Holy Week related incident” can be attributed to the diligent efforts of all the PNP personnel to ensure the safety and security of the general public especially among the pilgrim sites and churches in Bataan and the other six provinces of Central Luzon.

“We have deployed four thousand personnel just for the Holy Week alone and I commend them for their assiduousness in performing their duties, indeed, it paid off with no single incident happened. I would also thank the public for their cooperation and support to us,” PCSupt. Corpus said.

“Our Police Assistance Desks and Motorists Assistance Centers are still in placed until June 13 in convergence points particularly in bus terminals, airport, seaports and recreational areas including highways, main thoroughfares and crime prone areas to ensure maximum police presence,” he added.
