In June 2017, Canlas will pursue his dream of becoming a pilot as he will be starting his 8-month training in Lipa, Batangas.

Canlas also urged youth will visit secondary schools in Lubao to promote the PMA and entice more youth to join the military.

Mayor Cayabyab said the local government unit will support Canlas in promoting the PMA even in the barangays to encourage more children to become part of the government troops.

“We hope to see more youth who are like 2nd Lieutenant Canlas who are willing to serve the country,” Cayabyab said.
