Trike driver, 3 others hurt in Bataan road crash

ORANI, Bataan – Several persons were reportedly hurt when a motorized tricycle was accidentally hit by a sedan along Roman Highway, Brgy. Mulawin of this town, Sunday afternoon.

In an initial report from Orani Police Chief, Police Major Joey Sampaga, the injured victims were identified as Teodoro Bautista, 64, tricycle driver and owner, a resident of San Vicente, Orion, Bataan and Joyce Ann Bautista,33, also a resident of the said place.

The report based on an interview with an eyewitness named Jomer Miguel, while traversing the said highway on board his tricycle, Bautista decided to turn left and was accidentally hit by an incoming black Honda City (AAN 5511) being driven by Marie France Adraneda, 31, a resident of Maria Fe, Orani, Bataan.

The said car also hit a nearby fruit stand owned by Elvira Manlicmot, 64, a resident of Brgy. Mulawin, Orani, Bataan.

The trike passenger was immediately brought to Orani District Hospital by Orani Rescue Team while the driver was rushed to Bataan General Hospital Annex by MBDA Rescue and Medic Team.

The sedan’s driver and her passengers Allyzza De Jesus, 24, and Joey Verancio III Galsim, 27, were given first-aid treatment by MBDA Medics.
