TSU, SM Supermalls ink MOA on academe-industry partnership

 As part of its commitment to help the communities it serves, SM Supermalls signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Tarlac State University (TSU) to forge beneficial partnership between both parties in terms of academic linkages today, August 5, 2022.

“We affirm, commit, and pledge our full support to SM and that we will surely do our best to comply our roles and responsibilities in this MOA as we are grateful to SM for the generosity and loving-kindness you have for our students”, said Dr. Arnold E. Velasco, TSU President.

The agreement aims to help qualified students learn and participate in the company’s apprentice programs and learning sessions to strengthen their knowledge, skills and attitude in preparation for their future career, as well as assist them for future job placements.

Under the MOA, TSU will also be in support to SM for the advertisement of available job opportunities in the school bulletin boards and announcement in the school’s social media accounts and websites.

Graced the ceremonial signing from TSU were University President Dr. Arnold E. Velasco, VP-Academic Affairs Dr. Agnes M. Macaraeg, Student Welfare Services Head Dr. Grace Anne C. Hasegawa, along with SM Supermalls representatives namely HR Manager Lesleyan A. Paguio who represented VP-HR Ms. Cheryll Ruth L. Agsaoay, Regional Operations Manager Engr. Conrado M. Garcia, Jr., Mall Manager Engr. Darrel N. Ramos, Regional Recruitment Officer Charmaine Heidi D. Calub, and Public Relations Officer Shiela Mae M. Solis.
