Two motorcycle-riding armed robbers were shot dead by Angeles City policemen on Sunday midnight.
The two were robbing two teenagers near Villasol Subdivision, Angeles City when spotted by roving policemen. The robbers took the iPhone6 of the victims at gunpoint.
Senior Supt. Sidney Villaflor of the Angeles PNP said the policemen spotted the suspects who sped off toward Don Juico Avenue.
The policemen cornered the suspects along Don Juico Avenue and told them to pull over. At this juncture, one of them pulled a gun and pointed it at the policemen. During the chase, the responding policemen cut the path of the robbers who fell to the pavement.
Armed with .38 caliber revolvers, the two robbers reportedly tried to shoot it out with the responding policemen but were killed instantly in the volleys.
The police recovered two .38 caliber revolvers and 13 live bullets from the suspects.
The police identified the motorcycle driver as Jay Ayson Cayanan while the identity of the other remains unknown.
