We Heal As One Center-PH Arena discharges 180 recovered patients

BOCAUE, Bulacan — We Heal As One Center-Philippine Arena sent home Sunday a total of 180 COVID-19 recovered patients.

This is the highest single day tally of recovered patients released in a We Heal As One facility.

“The survivors are mostly Overseas Filipino Workers from the Middle East and Europe, while some are members of the Philippine Coast Guard and other patients from the National Capital Region,” National Action Plan Against COVID-19 Deputy Chief Implementer Vince Dizon said.

They stayed at the 300-bed capacity We Heal As One Center-Philippine Arena, one of the quarantine facilities put up by the government in partnership with the private sector for patients who have mild or no symptoms.

Officials who joined Dizon during the send-off ceremony include Bureau of Quarantine Director and Facility Manager Roberto Salvador Jr., Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac and Defense Undersecretary Cesar Yano.

Buses were provided in transporting the survivors to their respective destinations.

In Central Luzon, other We Heal As One Centers include the ASEAN Convention Center in Clark Freeport Zone and the National Government Administrative Center in New Clark City.
