Zambo solon, wife, 3 children cleared of COVID-19

ZAMBOANGA CITY–Second District Rep. Manuel Jose Dalipe and four of his family members have been discharged from the hospital after they were cleared of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

However, Rep. Dalipe said Friday that his father, former Mayor Manuel Dalipe, remains in the hospital for further observation.

Dalipe said that he and his wife, Keenah, and three children–Margaret, Baby Madison, and Manu–were discharged from the hospital Thursday after they recovered from Covid-19.

Dalipe said they are presently staying at his father’s home while his other three children, who were not infected by Covid-19 are at his residence.

“Although all of us are already fine and have been isolated for 14 days, we want to extend our days of isolation because I want to be sure that we are all safe from the virus,” he said.

Dalipe, his wife, Keenah, and two daughters, Margaret and Baby Madison, were hospitalized on January 6 after they contracted the virus. Manu was hospitalized on January 7.

Dalipe and four members of the family contracted the virus after they came into close contact with his father, the former mayor.

He said his father could have contracted the virus from their driver, whose neighbor recently died of Covid-19. (PNA)
