1, 802 displaced workers get cash grants


CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – A total of 1,802 Tulong Panghanapbuhay Para sa Displaced Workers (TuPAD) members received cash grants on Wednesday which was funded by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region-III office.

The TuPAD members received a total of P3,800 cash salary for their 10-days of work by cleaning their respective communities.

Vice Governor Delta Pineda thanked the DOLE-Central Luzon office for their continuous support for the province of Pampanga.

He also assured the TuPAD members during his speech that the DOLE Region-III office together with the provincial government of Pampanga will continue to fund a budget on the said program for this year.

Alex Inza Cruz, Chief-Technical Support and Services Division DOLE Region-III, said that the DOLE is always open to the province of Pampanga for such programs like the TuPAD.

The provincial board members also advised the beneficiaries to spend their salary wisely like for the tuition of their children and for their groceries or other needs of their family.

Among the officials present, aside from the vice governor, during the distribution conducted at Bren Z. Guaio convention center here were board members Anthony Joseph “Tonton” Torres of Second District, Ananias “Jun” Canlas Jr. of Third District, Nelson Calara and Pol Balingit of Fourth District and Councilor’s League President Olga Frances “Fritzie” Dizon and Barangay’s League President Gerome Tubig.

Arlene Tolentino, Chief-DOLE Provincial Field office of Pampanga and Public Employment Service Office (PESO) managers from the towns of Guagua, San Simon, City of San Fernando, Macabebe and San Luis were also seen at the event.

Meanwhile, a total of 7, 048 TuPAD members benefited from the said program in 2017. –Leslie Anne Mahusay
